Umetulisha (a Swahili term meaning “you have fed us”) is a food ministry which provides no- to low-cost nutritious food services for a variety of Restore St. Louis ministries including The Freedom School. Their first ministry partner was The Freedom School in 2013. Since that time, the Lord has provisioned and greatly expanded the scope of Umetulisha’s abilities to provide food for the hungry – particularly at-risk children and youth. They provide healthy, balanced meals to all the students here at Freedom.
60% of our student body qualifies for free or reduced meals. 100% of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and dinner (if in aftercare), thanks to our partnership with this ministry.
