    Faculty Positions Available for School Year 2022-2023

    Spanish Teacher (Part-Time):  The Freedom School invites you to consider the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty and staff with a start date of August 1, 2022.  This is a salaried position with 14 hours per week on Thursday and Friday each week.

            The ideal candidate will be someone who:

    • Has a heart for God and His kids
    • Has the ability to creatively meet student needs using a variety of strategies and materials
    • Is able to collaborate with other teachers, administration, school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents
    • Is organized, flexible, patient, responsible, willing to learn, and is able to recognize and celebrate students’ gifts
    • Has an understanding of using data to guide student learning and growth and can effectively communicate to administrators, teachers, and parents
    • Is qualified to teach Spanish as a second language to K-8th grade students
    • Is uniquely qualified to instill a love of learning with a diverse student population
    • Uniquely qualified and comfortable with urban and/or cross cultural students
    • Committed to reconciliation to God, to others and to self
    • Experience with (or willing to learn): Daily 5/Workshop model of teaching, TBRI, RTI, Teaching for Transformation
    • Can affirm in belief and practice the TFS Core Values and Faith Statement

    Art Teacher (Part-Time):  The Freedom School invites you to consider the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty and staff with a start date of August 1, 2022.  This is a salaried position with 17 hours per week on Monday and Wednesday each week.

            The ideal candidate will be someone who:

    • Has a heart for God and His kids
    • Has the ability to creatively meet student needs using a variety of strategies and materials
    • Is able to collaborate with other teachers, administration, school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents
    • Is organized, flexible, patient, responsible, willing to learn, and is able to recognize and celebrate students’ gifts
    • Has an understanding of using data to guide student learning and growth and can effectively communicate to administrators, teachers, and parents
    • Is qualified to teach Art to K-8 students with various mediums
    • Is uniquely qualified to instill a love of learning with a diverse student population
    • Uniquely qualified and comfortable with urban and/or cross cultural students

    • Experience with (or willing to learn): Daily 5/Workshop model of teaching, TBRI, RTI, Teaching for Transformation

    Staff Positions Available for School Year 2022-2023

    Aftercare Teacher (Part-Time): The Freedom School invites you to consider the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty and staff with a start date of August 1, 2022.  This is an hourly position with approximately 15 hours (3 hours per day) each week.

    The ideal candidate will be someone who:

    • Has a heart for God and His kids
    • Has the ability to creatively meet student needs using a variety of strategies and materials
    • Is able to collaborate with other teachers, administration, school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents
    • Is organized, flexible, patient, responsible, willing to learn, and is able to recognize and celebrate students’ gifts
    • Uniquely qualified and comfortable with urban and/or cross cultural students
    • Committed to reconciliation to God, to others and to self
    • Can affirm in belief and practice the TFS Core Values and Faith Statement

            The ideal candidate will be someone who:

    • Has a heart for God and His kids
    • Has experience with children in education, social work, psychology or another related field
    • Is 21 years of age
    • Is able to execute lesson plans left by classroom teacher(s)
