Staff Positions Available for School Year 2022-2023

Aftercare Teacher (Part-Time):

The Freedom School invites you to consider the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty and staff.

An aftercare teacher is needed Monday nights 3-6pm $15 per hour

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

  • Has a heart for God and His kids

  • Has the ability to creatively meet student needs using a variety of strategies and materials

  • Is able to collaborate with other teachers, administration, school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents

  • Is organized, flexible, patient, responsible, willing to learn, and is able to recognize and celebrate students’ gifts

  • Uniquely qualified and comfortable with urban and/or cross cultural students

  • Committed to reconciliation to God, to others and to self

  • Can affirm in belief and practice our TFS Core Values and Faith Statement

Guest Teachers (Substitute Teachers) Hiring on an ongoing basis.

Subs should call and register to complete a background check. Subs are asked to work as needed with as much advance notice as possible. We will call again if you are unavailable on a particular day.

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

  • Has a heart for God and His kids

  • Has experience with children in education, social work, psychology or another related field

  • Is at least 21 years of age

  • Is able to execute lesson plans left by classroom teacher(s)
