All of our families pay tuition. The average family pays $100/month. However, our need-based, sliding scale tuition only accounts for 15% of our income. Because most families cannot afford the full cost tuition, we rely on generous donations to fund a student’s education. Giving options are simple:
Large pledges are critical for the school continue offering a rigorous and just education for years to come. This year’s planning budget was $877,000. Again, this puts our cost per student at less than half that of most private and public schools.
Larger pledges over 3-5 years allow the school to accomplish strategic performance goals. There is no maximum gift pledge. However, we are currently recruiting 1000 people to pledge at the $25/month level. This would fully cover the cost of all of our neediest students: 50% of the school.
Sponsoring a student in need to attend for one year costs $8800. This is still half the cost of typical urban public schools.
